The PR-901 silane coupling is a silane with a thiocarboxylate functional group that reduces the number of mixes compared to conventional thiosilane. These rheological and dynamic improvements in tires made with PR-901 silane will significantly reduce rolling resistance compared to tires made with traditional polythiosilanes. PR-901 silane is designed for the manufacture of high-fill white carbon black reinforced tires. Using it can increase the mixing temperature without causing an increase in viscosity and premature vulcanization.
